Spurs came back to winning ways in the midweek with an easy victory over struggling Hull City. They have seen off the smaller Premier League sides with minimal fuss this campaign and should not find it hard to have a similar outing against Burnley on Sunday.
Burnley’s comeback campaign in the Premier League has been quite a decent one so far but they have a dismal away record having managed just one point on the road.
Spurs have experienced an up and down form of late and find themselves 10 points behind the league leaders, Chelsea. The final Champions League spot is also three points away from them. Spurs have scored 11 goals in their last three matches on home turf and require another victory to ensure they do not lose further ground on their top-four rivals. With Arsenal and Manchester City playing each other, they can close in the gap on the fourth spot.
Burnley faced a narrow 1-0 defeat in the midweek against West Ham and could be dragged into the relegation scrap. However, they have shown that they know how to make life difficult for the top teams and Liverpool and Manchester united will testify that fact. So Spurs should not be overconfident about this one.
