Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has signed a new contract that will tie him to the club till 2022. The goalkeeper has been negotiating a contract for the last couple of days but has now agreed to sign it.
Tottenham have recently been on a signing spree as a number of players. The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Danny Rose have signed extensions.
Lloris was signed from Lyon and since then has been very reliable between the sticks for the North Londoners. The French keeper had been demanding a wage in excess of £100,000-a-week but chairman Daniel Levy was very adamant not to break their wage structure.
But it is being reported that the keeper will earn a whopping £120,000-a-week including bonuses and add-ons.
Lloris expressed his happiness after signing the deal, “I’m very pleased with this new contract. That’s the way I show my commitment to the club, to my teammates and the gaffer. It shows again how much I believe in this project and hopefully the best year is ahead.”
