Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has signed a new six-year contract that will keep him at the club till 2022.
The striker has been linked with various clubs including Manchester United after he had put contract talks on hold. Kane is set for a huge pay rise almost double to his current £60,000 per week wage.
Spurs released a statement on their official website: “We are delighted to announce that Harry Kane has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2022.”
Kane, who is a Spurs academy product, only signed a new deal in last February but recent speculation forced the club to extend his stay for a further six years. Kane will be now the highest paid player of the club.
The 23 year sounded delighted after extending his stay, “Everyone knows what I feel for this club,
“To sign another contract is a special feeling. We have got a great young squad and the club is moving in the right direction.”
