Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has stated that the current team is the best Chelsea team he has ever played in. Antonio Conte’s side are currently running riot as they are unbeaten in the last 12 Premier League matches.
Hazard scored from the spot and Pedro netted twice as the Blues defeated Bournemouth in the last match without the services of Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante.
Jose Mourinho guided the West London side to their fifth Premier League title in the 2014/15 season. Hazard was a key figure behind their title triumph and he was also adjudged the PFA Player of the Year.
The 25-year-old won a number of trophies including the Europa League and Premier League since he arrived from Lille.
Chelsea are right now six points clear of second-placed Liverpool and have emerged as the frontrunners to win the title this season.
On being asked if this team is better than the Premier League winning team of the 2014/15 season, he answered, “Yes because we win every game! We are full of confidence.
“We try to do something that we didn’t do in the past. We score some goals.”
“We feel good. We are full of confidence. We take game after game and try to win every game.
“We don’t look at records but if we can make history in this club we will. It’s not only about Chelsea, this league.
“But now the opponents try to give everything because they want to be first. Now we are first and everyone wants to beat us.”
So maybe a subtle hint towards Jose Mourinho then?
