Who would have thought at the age of 35 Zlatan Ibrahimović would emerge as the main attacker of Manchester United. Since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, the Swede has been a constant threat up front.
He scored a brace in his last game as United secured their third consecutive victory in the Premier League by defeating west Bromwich Albion 2-0. Riding on his shoulders, United have been able to take full points from the last four games in all competitions.
The 35-year old is looking hungrier and sharper than before and has been giving Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney a run for the spot in the starting lineup.
Zlatan has started 16 matches out of 17 in the English top flight this season. The one match he missed which was against Arsenal was due to a suspension for accumulating five yellow cards.
He said, “I feel happy, I feel good. Even if I’m 35, in my mind I’m 20. I think I could play also at 50, but it won’t be down to me.
“The older I get, the better I get, like red wine! You like red wine? I’m a perfect example of that. The older I get, the better I play.”
