Chelsea made it ten wins in a row with a 1-0 win against Sunderland in the midweek. It was a narrow win but a thoroughly convincing one for Conte’s boys as they kept up their stunning run in the League. Six points separate them from their nearest challengers Liverpool right now in the League table. The Blues will travel to south London on Saturday to take on Alan Pardew’s struggling Crystal Palace and should not find it hard to seal their 11th consecutive win in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace have managed to win just one of their last eight games and are just three points above the danger zone. Alan Pardew’s boys are on the back of a 2-1 loss against Manchester United in the midweek. It was a nicely contested game and United’s late winner was a controversial one, too. Crystal Palace have a knack of upsetting the big guns on their day and the whole of the Premier League fan base apart from the Chelsea fans will be backing them on Saturday.
The two Lo0ndon sides have met each other 14 times in the League till date and Chelsea have won 10 of those 14 games while Palace could win just twice, one of which came last season, though. Here is the predicted Chelsea lineup against the Eagles.
Defence
Thibaut Courtois is a certain starter in goal. The Belgian keeper has been superb of late making some decisive saves. Chelsea hardly looks threatened by opponents given their stability at the back but on the rare occasions they were troubled, the Belgian has bailed them out every time.
The 3-man defence will be comprised of Azpilicueta, Luiz and Cahill. The trio have excellent which is one of the main reasons behind Chelsea’s amazing run and Conte will hope that they can keep up their good run of form.
