Midfield
Oriol Romeu will certainly start at the base of the three-man midfield. He has been a key player for the Saints this season with his overall contribution to the game and must ensure that he has a good outing against West Brom to win his side the game.
James Ward-Prowse is likely to keep his place in midfield and will be looking to tear apart the West Brom defence with his eye for a pass.
Steven Davis’ place in the starting XI is untouchable and it will be a surprise if he is ignored by Puel.
Attack
Charlie Austin’s injury has hurt the Saints badly. Shane Long is still searching for his first goal this season and is unlikely to get a start ahead of Jay Rodriguez who scored a brace against Bournemouth last to last week.
With Nathan Redmond serving a red-card suspension, Dusan Tadic is likely to start on the right flank.
Sofiane Boufal will keep his place at the left flank.
