Middle
The anchorman role will be taken by Oriol Romeu. He looked back in form against Boro after many below par performances in the last few games.
The attacking midfielders’ role will be taken by Ward-Prowse and Steven Davis.
While Prowse caused a lot of problems with his perfectly measured dead balls and assist to Boufal that ended at the back of the net, Clasie looked very short of confidence.
He wasted two chances in the first half and his technique looked poor. Davis is likely to replace him against Stoke.
Attack
Boufal’s winner was a stunner. His left-foot thunderbolt has surely earned him a first team place for this match. His close ball control was a treat to watch and is expected to treat us with his beautiful technique once again. He will start on the left-flank.
Tadic looked very poor and clearly needs more time to get back to full fitness. Redmond will start on the right-flank.
Austin is dearly missed in the centre position. Jay Rodriguez missed two good chances to put the game to bed late on and the second one was an absolute howler.
Shane Long hasn’t been quite impacting either which means Puel will stick with Jay Rodriguez.
