Midfield
Andy Halliday has been excellent this season at the base of the three-man midfield with his all-round abilities in both attack and defence. The 25-year-old will keep his place in defensive midfield. The former Boro man will protect the back four.
We expect Jason Holt to keep his place in the middle of the park. Harry Forrester is likely to start in a central midfield role to give Rangers more edge in the attack.
Attack
Michael O’Halloran is likely to start on the right flank. Veteran Kenny Miller could keep his place on the left flank. Martyn Waghorn is back from injury and in his absence, the Gers have struggled for goals.
The English striker is likely to spearhead the Gers’ attack against Aberdeen. Joe Garner is likely to be left out on the bench after failing to impress of late.
