Midfield
Gareth Barry and Idris Gueye have been too good at times, but they are too inconsistent this season so far. The last Watford goal scored by Okaka could have easily been prevented if Barry had done better.
The ageing English midfielder doesn’t seem to cope well physically. However, until Koeman brings in new recruitments in January, the duo seems the best option in the defensive midfield position.
Although Koeman preferred James McCarthy in the central attacking midfield role in the last game, the introduction of Ross Barkley noticeably increased Everton’s attacking pace.
We expect the Dutch manager to opt for the English international this time.
Attack
Deulofeu took charge of the right-flank quite well replacing Bolasie and will improve with regular game time.
Kevin Mirallas has lost the spark this season and he was nowhere to be found against Watford. Koeman might just start with Aaron Lennon against Arsenal.
The centre-forward role will be played by Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker scored a brace against Watford but it was not enough to get the points.
He has been attracting a lot of interest from all across Europe and it will be difficult for Everton to keep him if they falter frequently.
