Celtic, even before the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, were the undisputed major force in Scottish football but since the arrival of Rodgers, their dominance has gone to a whole new level. The Bhoys have already won the Scottish League Cup which became their 100th major honour in history. Rodgers won his first trophy as a manager with the League Cup triumph and now he will be looking to lead the Hoops to a domestic treble.
Celtic will host struggling Hamilton Academical at Parkhead on Tuesday in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops have an eight-point lead at the top of the table over their closest challengers Rangers but with three games in hand. The other teams won’t be playing in the midweek, so this is Celtic’s chance to stretch their lead at the top.
Celtic have a brilliant record against Hamilton having won 12 out of their 15 games and Rodgers will be keen to build on that record. Here is the predicted lineup of Celtic against Hamilton Academical.
Defence
Scottish custodian Craig Gordon will keep his place under the bar ahead of Dorus de Vries. Erik Sviatchenko will keep his place under the bar. Jozo Simunovic should start alongside the Dane at the centre. Swedish international Mikael Lustig is likely to start at right-back. Emilio Izaguirre is likely to start at left-back with Kieran Tierney still out injured.
