Middle
Cesc Fabregas took his chance brilliantly when he got a sudden nod from Conte after Matic suffered a calf injury during training. The Spaniard provided an inch perfect pass to Costa from deep midfield for the equaliser that brought back memories of Chelsea’s title-winning season.
The Spaniard will start alongside N’Golo Kanté in the middle of the park. Despite starting poorly against City, Kanté improved his game remarkably as the game progressed.
The quintessential wingbacks, Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso, will take their respective flanks once more. Moses has undoubtedly been Chelsea’s most impactful player so far and will look to get on the scoresheet against Albion.
Attack
Eden Hazard and Pedro are expected to take the flanks. Although Pedro was subbed off early in the game against City, he is expected to return to the game against Albion. Hazard will once again hope to leave a mark on the score sheet.
Diego Costa equalised against Manchester City in the 3-1-win last weekend but was substituted off in the closing stages as he hobbled off the pitch. Conte will be hoping he makes the cut for the match.
