West Ham United have been pulled back to the Earth after having a hopeful and enthralling first half of the year where they finished 7th and with the grand plans in store, could hardly wait for the season to start. But it has been a different story ever since.
Knocked out of the Europa League in the qualification stage, they have failed to take off this season. A botched up transfer window, where they went after unrealistic targets, resulted in a team which was not really an upgrade from the one last year. Unsolved issues at right-back and up front have cost them.
But there has been a little bit of hope for them in recent weeks with 7 points coming in the last 3 games. Luck seems to be finally shifting over to their side but the Hammers won’t be counting on luck and need to get their act together.
They have to keep hold of Dimitri Payet and add a striker and a right-back. Antonio has been wasted in that position and he needs to be unleashed on teams. Andy Carroll needs a partner up top and the Hammers need to be smart about it this time around.
Their Boxing Day fixture against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium is a winnable fixture and the Hammers need to win these matches and go on a run.
Here is our Predicted 3-4-2-1 West Ham United Lineup Vs Swansea City.
PREDICTED 3-4-2-1 WEST HAM UNITED LINEUP VS SWANSEA CITY (3-4-2-1)
DEFENCE
Randolph is going to continue between the sticks and has to perform better to keep Adrian out of the team. They are having issues in goal and one of the two has to put their hands up and be counted.
Slaven Bilic has employed a 3-man defence which has worked in recent weeks and he is likely to continue with the same tactics.
Kouyate has been good and will line up on the right side of the back three and he will be accompanied by Reid and Ogbonna.
