Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes that Manchester United have the quality to finish in the top four of the Premier League despite their underwhelming season so far.
United are now placed sixth in the table after drawing their third consecutive league games. Their 1-1 draw against Everton left them nine points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
This is United’s fourth draw this season. No other team have drawn as many games than United this season.
United have been creating chances but failed to convert them. Also, the absence of Eric Bailly has been one of the reasons why they failed to hold on to their lead.
Guardiola said, “I saw the games against Stoke and Burnley, and other ones at Old Trafford.
“They deserved by far to win the games but football is like this. United have the quality, the history, the manager and the players to be there.”
United are 13 points behind from League leaders Chelsea and the Spaniard thinks that it is almost next to impossible to win the league from this situation, “Of course, 13 points is a long distance, especially when one team is winning games with the quality of Chelsea. So it is not easy. But to be in the first four? Of course.”
