According to Michael Owen Liverpool will emerge as the champions in May after shrugging off the challenge form Chelsea and Arsenal!
Since losing to Burnley Liverpool, had been on a 15 match unbeaten run before tasting defeat at the hands of Bournemouth. They also drew against West Ham but have recovered and have registered back to back wins against Middlesbrough and Everton after that.
On the other side, Arsenal have lost their last two games to give Chelsea a reason to rejoice in the festive period. They should have stepped a gear to present themselves as a serious title contenders but the losses have once again taken them to square one, or should we say fourth!
Owen, who played for Liverpool and Manchester United, said, “At the start of the season I thought Man City probably had the best players and after 10 games I thought it was coming to the north west – Man United, Liverpool and Man City were all looking strong,
“Man United had a bit of a dip and so did Man City, with Chelsea all of a sudden starting to do very well.
“As we stand I think it is going to be Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool.
“I think Man United are too far away potentially to win it and think Arsenal will be similar to what they have been in the last decade.”
