Henrikh Mkhitaryan has claimed that only he was to blame for his clumsy start at Manchester United. The attacking midfielder was one of the most talked about signings of this summer when he made a move to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund.
The Armenian made his debut against Manchester City but Jose Mourinho decided to take him off after a very poor display.
Mkhitaryan then got injured while playing for Armenia and had to wait for 75 days to make his second start for the Red Devils despite being fully fit. The 27-year-old has gradually started to show what he is capable of after some brilliant performances in recent games. He is also expected to start against Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League.
The Armenian playmaker took all the blame on his shoulder, “The problem wasn’t him, it was me.
“Now I understand why. I have got my chance and I will keep it, it’s very important for me to be a part of Manchester United.
“I had a bad game against City, but I kept working. I have done a great job to get my chance back. The manager has five or six players in my position, but I know how I can help.”
