Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed his idol and it is none other than Thierry Henry.
The Armenian has been in thick of action recently with a string of brilliant performances of late. It was his goal that made the difference between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur as the Red Devils went on to win the match 1-0. He was also very influential in United’s EFL Cup victory over West Ham United.
The Playmaker who arrived from Borussia Dortmund had been struggling to cope up in Premier League. He was not in the squad for almost three months as Mourinho was not sure that the player was ready to get in.
Mkhitaryan has played United’s last four games but will miss the next game as he got injured in the last match. He said, “I always supported Henry when he was playing for Arsenal.
“He is one of my favourite players because at that time I was also playing as a striker as a child. Then I became a midfielder.”
