Manchester City manager pep Guardiola has heaped praises on midfielder Yaya Toure but is not sure about the player’s future.
Toure has been frozen out by the Spaniard gaffer as he had a round of heated conversations with his agent Dimitri Seluk. The manager had made it clear he wouldn’t give a chance to Toure unless his agent apologised.
The towering Ivorian’s first start was against Crystal Palace this season and he announced his return in style by scoring a brace in that match.
Before this match, his last appearance came against Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League qualification. His current contract runs until the end of this season but Guardiola has insisted that he will have to discuss Toure’s future.
“I have no answer to that question. I know he finishes his contract. Now we have time to discuss that.
“What I am impressed by most is his huge quality. He looks like a boy. He played awesome. It is not in terms of when he has the ball but the personality.
“Yaya plays at that level because he is fit and focused. He is an exceptional player.”
