Liverpool are lining up a bid for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Jesé Rodriguez. Jesé moved to France from Real Madrid in a £21m deal and signed a five-year contract. However, he has failed to nail down a first team place.
Liverpool had been linked with the player in the summer as Klopp was very eager to sign the versatile attacker.
Las Palmas have been desperately trying to secure the service of the player and their President recently confirmed that Liverpool are one of the few clubs who showed interest in the player, “Jesé Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level and that is very high.
“Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jesé and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford that salary.”
PSG recently agreed to terms with Julian Draxler for a reported fee of around €35m and will move to the French club once the transfer window opens and Liverpool could use this opportunity to entice him.
Jesé has sheer pace and can also be deployed in the wide areas and Klopp would love to have him at the Anfield.
