Liverpool will be making an attempt to sign Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac once the transfer window opens.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks of Knappenschmiede, the famous Schalke academy. Schalke have recovered from a poor start and are currently in eighth place. Kolasinac has been very influential behind Die Konigsblauen’s late rise, having scored one goal and providing four assists.
His contract is due to expire at the end of this season and Liverpool are trying to utilise the opportunity to bring the player to Anfield. Klopp has shifted James Milner to the left side of the defence and the midfielder turned defender has been very decent in this season.
But the manager wants to inject fresh blood into his current team and the Bosnia-Herzegovina international would be perfect in that role. The player himself expressed his interest saying that his playing style would be perfect the Premier League.
Manchester City could give Liverpool a stiff competition as Pep Guardiola is very adamant to bolster his side back section.
