Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard lavishes praises on Daniel Sturridge. Sturridge has very limited appearances in this season and hasn’t opened his account yet in the Premier League. The England international has made only 10 appearances in the Premier League.
He is playing the second fiddle to Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi since Klopp has opted to play with 4-3-3.
Sturridge, a very gifted finisher has struggled to nail a spot in the starting lineup this season. He recently came back from an injury and was also involved in Liverpool’s winner against Everton.
He was linked with a lot of clubs but Klopp can’t afford to lose another player with Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings in the injury list.
Gerrard who retired from football recently said, “In terms of natural ability, Sturridge is up there with the rest of them.
“He’s so sharp and can get his shot off, as we saw against Everton last week. I don’t think sometimes he realises how good he is.”
