Jurgen Klopp has rubbished the speculation regarding Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s transfer to Liverpool.
Reports were emerging that Liverpool could make an offer for the Arsenal winger once the transfer window opens.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been pretty good for the Gunners this term as he netted six goals in 23 appearances. With Sadio Mane departing in January he looks like a suitable signing for the Reds.
Mane has been a revelation since his arrival from Southampton in the summer. 24-year-old old has bagged eight goals and has set up another five more goals.
But Klopp thinks that Liverpool would cope up with his absence and he doesn’t need to splash the cash in January.
“I don’t usually say anything about transfer rumours but I can make an exception. Nonsense.
“This kind of thing I think a lot about but I say nothing because it is really not interesting what I think about this.
“You (the media) are already on a path so do with it what you want but from our side nothing else to say about it.”
