Jürgen Klopp has refused to blame Loris Karius after West Ham drew 2-2 with Liverpool.
The keeper was signed from Mainz for £4.7m and has been preferred over Simon Mignolet. The German couldn’t stop Dimitri Payet’s free kick despite betting a hand to it and should’ve done better.
The 23-year old also was also error prone against Bournemouth. It was his mistake that led to Bournemouth’s winner in the stoppage time. Steve Cook tried a long shot but Karius failed to collect it and Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake tapped in to end their 15-match unbeaten run.
Klopp got furious when he was asked about the German keeper’s performance, “Maybe you are all blind because everybody is asking me about this situation and I have only seen it one time – during the game.
“Things like this happen. With all goals we can do a surgery to pick apart what we can do and what happened and I accept this.
“But goals like this happen. We have to find the guy who doesn’t jump or whatever. But it was brilliant from (Dimitri) Payet.
“I saw him training before the game and he missed all of his free kicks. I was hoping he would do that in the game too.”
