Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has made a quite bold statement after their 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Adam Lallana gave a spirited performance as the Reds shrugged off their previous results to thump in three goals past Victor Valdes. Lallana gave the lead through as he headed home a good header. He also laid Divock Origi’s goal and then scored his second of the night with a beautiful finish from close range.
Lallana has been the influential player for Liverpool since Coutinho has been sidelined. The 28-year old has already recorded six assists this season which happened to be his total tally for last season. Liverpool are right now second in the Premier League table with 34 points and will face Everton in the next match.
Klopp said that Liverpool have the best batch of English players in the League, “In my opinion, we have the best English players – all of them. I am fine with them, but I am not long enough here and didn’t see too much about the other teams.
“It’s not too simple in England to watch football; it was easier in Germany to watch English football than here. But all good, we are happy when he is fit and can perform like this.”
