Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Luke Shaw will miss the trip to Goodison Park when Man United take on Everton this Sunday.
Luke Shaw started the EFL Cup quarterfinal game against West Ham but had to be substituted after suffering an injury. Daley Blind replaced him. The left back has been very injury prone and only returned to the squad after a long injury layoff.
Jose Mourinho rued the absence of the side back, “The injury is a pity. We were on this process of developing him as a player – he has a lot to learn and great potential to develop so we were giving him 90 minutes.
“Not consecutive matches but 90 minutes against Feyenoord then, one week later, 90 minutes against West Ham, but he got this little injury.”
United will be desperate to make a statement after the dominating win against West Ham United. Wayne Rooney will be unavailable after a suspension while Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini could return to the side.
