Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might end his career at Manchester United. Zlatan moved to United after he decided not to renew his contract with PSG. Ibrahimovic proved to be a bargain signing for the English side as the 35-year-old has already scored 16 goals for the Red Devils.
The Swedish international who recently took retirement from international football has a second-year option on his contract and United are ready to trigger that.
Mourinho thinks that the lanky Swede won’t be attracted to Major League Soccer and the Chinese Super League for money.
Mourinho said, “I’m really happy for him.
“Maybe some people could think (he was) a top scorer but not any more at 35 years old, not any more because the Premier League is not Ligue 1. But for him, 35 is the same as 25, Ligue 1 is the same as the Premier League.
He scores goals, he plays well and I’m really happy for him because he will end his career on a high, which is amazing. He’s not ending his career in America or in China, he’s ending his career at the top of the top.”
