Liverpool shot stopper Loris Karius has found a supporter in Pepe Reina. The ex-Liverpool keeper has said that the Reds need to help him more to get the best out of him.
Karius was very error-prone against Bournemouth as the Cherries came from behind to hand Liverpool their first defeat after 15 matches. Karius has been enduring a tough start to his Liverpool career having signed from Mainz for £5m.
Klopp has preferred him over Simon Mignolet but the German has failed to keep a clean sheet in most of the matches.
Reina, who arrived from Villarreal in 2005, went on to play for eight seasons for the Reds before moving to Napoli in 2013. He said, “I think he doesn’t need any encouragement. I think he’s a brilliant goalkeeper who is doing really well
“It’s a team, you know, that also at times has to do better for the goalkeeper.
“I think they will do really well this season and I’m happy for them.”
