The entire world has been handed a shock after a plane carrying Chapecoense players crashed near Medellin on its way to Columbia for the Copa Sudamericana against Atletico Nacional.
71 are feared to be dead while six peoples survived the disaster. If reports are to be believed the plane carrying the passengers had run out of fuel when it crashed into the mountains.
The footballing fraternity has come together in the social media to show solidarity towards the Brazilian Club.
Associação Chapecoense de Futebol, what they are actually called were founded in 1973.
The club was dubbed as the Leicester City of the Brazilian League as they have made their dream run from the Brazilian Serie D to Serie A in seven years.
They became the first Brazilian Club in three years to make it to the final of the Copa Sudamericana which is regarded as South America’s second most important club competition. The World mourns the deceased.
