Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has his doubts on whether Chelsea will be able to maintain their form till the end of the season.
Since losing to Arsenal Chelsea haven’t lost a single match and have won 11 game on the trot. Currently, they are topping the Premier League table with 43 points and are six points adrift of Liverpool who are in second position.
Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and N’Golo Kanté have been producing their best form under Antonio Conte as the Blues overturned their last year’s dismal performance when they finished tenth.
The Blues rode on a Diego Costa special in their last match against Crystal Palace as they extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches.
Neville said, “I didn’t think they would be champions at the start of the season. I’m still not sure, I wouldn’t fully trust any of them yet, but they do like they are producing the type (champions) performances.
“They have got the mental strength. If they steer clear of injuries, they’ve got a great fixture programme over Christmas, they’ve got players who’ve won the league before, they’ve got a lot going for them.
“The Southampton away one, that’s the one where I thought, that’s a championship winning performance. But it is too early in the season to hand them the title.
Does that mean to say I’m sure they’ll win the league? No.”
