Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Valencia right back Joao Cancelo. Cancelo won’t move in January and will be with Valencia until the end of this season.
Antonio Conte is once again set to lose one of his targets. The Italian had been monitoring the player for quite a while and wanted him to replace Marcos Alonso. He has been linked with a lot of clubs but had made it clear earlier that he won’t leave his club this season as Valencia are battling relegation.
Cesar Prandelli’s side have been performing poorly and are placed 17th, just out of the relegation zone, due to a better goal difference. The only positive thing from their poor season is the form of Cancelo.
Barcelona will reportedly pay a sum of €30m to the Los Che and the 22-year old will sign a five-year contract with the Spanish giants. Chelsea will now have to look elsewhere to add reinforcements to their defence.
