Chelsea are ready to offer Thibaut Courtois a fresh new contract to fend off interest from Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to make a bid for the keeper as their transfer ban has been reduced. They are now planning to make a summer move for the Chelsea keeper.
Courtois has given Antonio Conte a mental boost with his performance this season. The 24-year old has kept 10 clean sheets in Chelsea’s unbeaten run of 12 matches.
The west Londoners are considering giving the Belgian shot stopper a brand new contract extension. He currently takes home £100,000 a week but the Blues are willing to give him a hike of £50,000.
Chelsea quoted a price of £73m when the Spanish giants enquired about Courtois in 2015 and if he signs on the dotted line, the Blues would command a higher fee than earlier.
Chelsea also sacked Christophe Lollichon and brought Conte’s goalkeeping coach, Gianluca Spinelli, to help Courtois rediscover his form.
