John Terry could be offered a coaching role by FA for the England national team. The 36-year old’s contract with Chelsea is due to expire at the end of this season.
FA has invited a host of former stars with the likes of Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Ashley Cole to help Gareth Southgate. Terry has been taking coaching badges as he prepares himself for a coaching job after the end of his playing career. He hasn’t been offered a new contract by Chelsea and could bid goodbye to club football once the season ends.
The player who turned 36 on Wednesday has a bitter relation with FA after the English Football association accused him of the racial abuse of Anton Ferdinand. Although the court cleared him of the charge he was stripped off of the England captaincy.
FA are now trying to resolve the matter by offering him a hand in the coaching role. FA would also help him with his UEFA A and pro license but it remains to be seen whether he accepts the offer or not.
