Antonio Conte has complimented Jürgen Klopp after the latter termed him as the “Pep Guardiola of Turin”.
The Chelsea manager was at Juventus from 2011 to 2014. Under his guidance, the Turin giants won three back to back Scudetti starting from 2011. He also won the Coppa Italia two times with the defending champions. He then went on to manage Italy national team before being appointed the Chelsea manager.
Chelsea have blossomed under the Italian as the West London outfit have been on an eight-match unbeaten run. They defeated Manchester City 3-1 in their last match and are right now sitting top of the Premier League table.
Conte heaped praises on the Liverpool boss, “For sure this is a great compliment and I think Klopp said this because I had the possibility in three years to build this clear idea of football at Juventus.
“I know I put a lot of passion and study into my football, to improve and to build new solutions, and I know that I put a lot of time each day into my work, but I don’t know if I am up the top of this [Super Manager] table or at the bottom!”
