Sunday promises to be a good day of football as there are some big games. The south coast of England will gear up for a derby and they will be divided into two halves when Bournemouth take on Southampton. Portsmouth against Southampton used to be the big day on south coast earlier but the Pompey’s long absence from the top tier and Bournemouth’s resurgence will definitely bring that derby feeling.
This could be Bournemouth’s best chance to beat the Saints. Even though both sides share the same number of points after 16 games, the Cherries have been the more entertaining side.
Eddie Howe’s side go in search of consecutive wins for the first time this season while Southampton boss Puel will hope his side’s struggle for goals will come to an end.
Southampton’s away performances have been laden with draws and defeats. The Saints have only 1 win to their name in 8 away league game so far this season. Bournemouth are brilliant at home and have dropped points just thrice in front of their fans. Their last home game was a 1-0 win against Leicester City after a surprise 4-3 win against Liverpool which came in dramatic fashion.
