His defensive error cost Real Madrid a goal although he made really good runs around the box.

Toni Kroos: 8/10

Kroos did really well to allow Madrid’s midfield to dictate the play from deep and his cross-field balls were a constant theme throughout the game.  He did really well to pull the strings from the midfield.

Marco Asensio: 7.5/10

Asensio showed a lot of creativity and helped stretch Deportivo’s defence wide.

He too curled in some good crosses which troubled the Depotivo defenders a lot.

Isco: 7.5/10

Isco made some really good runs in the midfield and was involved in a lot of build of plays. Isco showed really good vision in his passing but his runs yielded no end product.

James Rodriguez: 7/10

James was quite underwhelming with his overall performance. He missed a rather simple one on one chance and went down too easily in the box.

Alvaro Morata: 8.5/10

Morata scored a fantastic goal to give Real Madrid the lead initially four minutes into the first half. He also drifted into wide positions which gave Deportivo defenders a lot of struggle to defend against.

Vazquez’s gave an excellent assist for Marino’s equaliser in the 84th minute with a perfect cross.

Mariano: 8/10

Mariano was a live-wire in the box and also managed to level the proceedings with an excellent header.

Marcelo: 7.5/10

Marcelo’s introduction injected a lot of pace and energy to Real Madrid attack which helped them recover the lead at the very end of the game.
