Herrera (8/10)- Mourinho’s three-man midfield gave him much of the advantage to intercept and pass, which was not always the case previously. His assist to Mkhitaryan was quick thinking and that’s what he does best.
Pogba (8.5/10)- What a free-kick that was?! Really unlucky not to score.
Apart from that, he was quite unstoppable at times when he moved to the rhythm and saw himself wrapped with opponents when he slowed the game. He had a big impact either way.
Carrick (7.5/10)- On one of the biggest nights, Mourinho turned to his most experienced midfielder to take up the task.
While he did the defensive job quite well, his passing lacked sharpness as he gave away possession quite frequently.
Martial (6.5/10)- Had a bad game as compared to the other attacking players who were relishing the fast counter attacks. He was shut out by Walker forcing him to give a back pass time and time again.
Needs more game to get back his form.
Mkhitaryan (9/10)- Was majorly responsible for the phenomenal pace of the game. The way he glided his way past the defender to fire a shot at goal was simply amazing.
He could be a real season turner for United if he is not sidelined for long due to injury. United fans were gutted when they saw him being stretchered off.
Ibrahimovic (8/10)- He was a threat to the opponent even in the dying stages of the games.
Although he missed an absolute sitter that would have killed the game in the opening half, he kept his presence throughout the match.
