Xabi Alonso(9/10): Another strong performance from the former Spanish International midfielder. His delicious side booted finish doubled Bayern’s lead in the first half.
Consistently kept Leipzig defence occupied with his sharp forward passes. Completed 100 passes, most by any player on the night.
Arturo Vidal(7.5/10): Complimented Xabi Alonso very well in the middle. His 99 passes evidently suggests Bayern’s dominance in the middle third of the pitch.
Most of his works, however, were overshadowed by the excellent Xabi Alonso.
Arjen Robben(7/10): Was a lively figure on the right flank. Even though he didn’t entirely have a good game against Leipzig that one would expect.
Managing just 24 touches, Robben was replaced by Franck Ribery in the second half.
Thiago Alcantara(10/10): Hands down the best player on the night. Thiago’s excellent season continues as he found himself in the right place at the right same for Bayern’s opener.
A terrific performance by the 25-year-old.
Douglas Costa(8/10): Costa was a much more imposing figure from the left flank. Linked up well with Alaba and was a joy to watch in possession.
He also won the penalty which resulted in Bayern’s third goal.
Robert Lewandowski(9/10): Struck the post after a first-time shot following Lahm’s cross and the rebound led to the opener from Thiago.
Moments later started the counter attack and found the Spaniard, for the second goal. Converted the penalty himself to score Bayern’s third and killed the game within halftime whistle.
