Arsenal are mulling an option to sign Mesut Ozil if they fail to keep a hold on Alexis Sanchez. The Gunners are currently sweating over Sanchez’s future as well. His contract is set to expire in 2018 and he hasn’t signed an extension yet.
The Chilean has been offered a significant rise to his current wage but has been demanding an exorbitant amount in excess of £200,000 per week.
He was also offered a whopping £400,000 to ply his trade his China. Alexis has been the Gunners’ highest scorer this term with 12 goals despite being shifted to a centre-forward role.
Marco Reus is very injury prone but if he remains fit he can single-handedly destroy any team on his day. Reus has been with Borussia Dortmund since 2012 and can be deployed anywhere across the front four.
Although has had been being sidelined for a brief period, he has already scored one and assisted three in four appearances. Should the Gunners sign him it would be a bumper signing for the North Londoners.
