Harry Kane vs Eric Bailly
Harry Kane’s return has surely given a lease of new life into to the Tottenham squad.
Although they fell against Chelsea despite leading in the first half which cost them their unbeaten streak in the league this season, they came back strongly against Swansea.
And Kane’s contribution has been immense in that. He has scored 7 goals in 9 appearances with a shot accuracy of 65%. Pochettino will highly rely on the striker to do the damage at old Trafford.
United got a huge injury boost when they Bailly shook off his injury to play against Zorya. The conditions were difficult to play with freezing temperature but Bailly looked fit and assured at the back.
Although the Ivory Coast international is still adapting to English football after arriving this summer, he has shown a promising start to the season and Mourinho will expect his beast of a defender to keep Harry Kane at bay.
Paul Pogba vs Victor Wanyama
Quite similar to Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba was a victim of critics who pointed out his failure to match his price tag. The French international, has, however, been quite effective in his play if we look at the figures.
It was the link up play that didn’t work so well. He has scored two goals and created eight chances so far completing 310 passes with a pass accuracy of 83%, of which 74% were forward passes.
Wanyama, on the other end, has been decent in the defensive midfield for the Spurs. His diligent defensive duties have allowed Dembele to operate freely in the attacking half.
He will be given the duty to stop Pogba and given his defensive display, he should be up for the task. He is 188cm tall, which makes him eligible enough to take on Pogba physically and it will be a battle to relish.
