Obiang (6) – Was largely unnoticeable throughout the game whether on the offensive or while defending. Gave away possession cheaply at times. Was right to be subbed off early.
Noble (6) – Was terrible throughout the game. You don’t expect such atrocious heading from a player of his experience. Pulled back Huddlestone for a silly foul that got him booked.
The West Ham crowd booed the team at the stroke of half-time and the onus was highly on him. Converting the penalty was the only good thing he did.
Cresswell (6) – The game was disoriented from the beginning and he defended accordingly. Made 3 interceptions and 8 recoveries. It was his terrible back pass that resulted in Hull hitting the bar.
Lanzini (6.5) – Had a quiet game, which is quite uncharacteristic of him. He has been the only fruitful signing (permanent, remember?) for Bilic this season with the Argentine taking his previous season’s form to this season. Had 6 successful passes in the attacking third
Payet (7.5) – He was the only spark up front in the West Ham team. Gave an inch-perfect pass piercing the defence only for Michail Antonio to miss it. That could have really killed the game. Tested the Hull goalie with yet another brilliant free-kick. Looked visibly unhappy with his team and his expression while getting subbed off said it all. He is departing soon.
Carroll (6.5) – This was his chance to announce his comeback. But he hardly got any service from the midfield. Could manage only 2 shots, which were not on target.
Fernandes (7) – His introduction brought some edge to an otherwise aimless West Ham team. He linked with Payet well and created chances that forced Hull City to fall back and defend, who otherwise were pretty adventurous.
