As a relieved West Ham United boss walked back into the tunnel with 3 points against Hull City out of nowhere, he knows that the Hammers didn’t deserve it the way they played. We rate the players from the game.
Randolph (6.5) – Apart from the enormous amount of luck he had on a dreadful night, Randolph made some important saves to keep his team in the game.
Kouyaté (7) – He had to come up with some last -ditch interceptions in the later stages of the second half. But, that is because of the tremendously sloppy defending the Hammers displayed against Hull City.
He recovered the ball 8 times, the best among all West Ham defenders.
Reid (6.5) – Looked a bit confident in his actions in all that haywire defending. Recovered the ball 6 times, made 5 interceptions.
Ogbonna (6.5) – The game lacked real edge with West Ham seeing lesser action in the midfield and a slurry of attacks throughout the first half to defend. He had two good recoveries.
Antonio (6.5) – Missed a glorious chance set by Payet in the later stages of the second half. Given his goalscoring touch this season, he should have finished it.
Apart from that, he was really anonymous throughout the game.
