Another excellent performance from the player who is making a mark this season with each game. His workrate and quality helped his team in both the areas of the field as he completed 3 of his 4 take ons alongside winning 6 of his 8 attempted tackles.
Cresswell (7/10)
Did very well defensively but failed to provide the edge upfront in the attacking phase. Was uncharacteristically poor with his crossing, not being able to complete any of the 7 he attempted.
Lanzini (5/10)
Needs to do a lot more for the team in the forward areas. Was simply ineffectual and very disappointing. Rightly subbed in the 62nd minute as a result.
Ayew (5/10)
Back from his injury, looks to be a bit out of touch. Was decent with his passing but never looked like somebody who can make things happen upfront. Was subbed in the 63rd minute right after Lanzini.
Payet (8/10)
As usual the best player on the pitch for his team. Was a bit lax with his passing but created all the chances of his team (7) along with a curling effort just over the bar. West Ham looks lost upfront without him.
