West Bromwich Albion are tracking Dynamo Kyiv striker Lukasz Teodorczyk who is making waves at Belgium where he is currently playing in a loan move. The 25-year old striker from Poland has always been a consistent goalscorer with a very good strike rate and the recent move to Anderlecht on loan seems to have sprung him on.
The forward joined Dynamo Kyiv in 2014 after spending a year with Polish club Lech Poznan, where he struck 24 times in 50 games in the Ekstraklasa. Since joining Kyiv, Teodorczyk has scored 10 league goals in 24 games and in 2014/15, the striker made quite an impression with his 3 goals in the Europa League from 6 appearances.
This year, the striker has lit up the Jupiler league scoring 9 times in 11 starts with 4 goals in 4 games in the Europa League. His performances in UEFA’s second level competition has got him some limelight.
Standing in at 6ft 1 inch, Teodorczyk looks to be of the same mould of the recent breed of Polish strikers quite similar to Lewandowski and Milik in built and in his style of play. Excellent in his finishing with a powerful upper body to hold off challenges, the 25-year old also has some nifty footwork which allows him to tread through tight spaces.
The striker has also represented Poland national team 9 times scoring thrice, having made his debut in 2013. English Club West Brom are very interested in the striker and they are preparing to make a move in the January transfer window. With 10 goals scored from their 10 games so far, the Baggies are in desperate need for a goalscorer.
Salomon Rondon needs some support up front and looks very isolated at times. The striker has struck 3 times so far this season but new signing Robson-Kanu has not been able to replicate his Euro Cup form since he was snapped up as a free agent by the club with no goals scored so far.
Attacking midfielder and late summer signing Nacer Chadli leads the goalscoring charts with 4 goals from 7 games making a considerable impact but the Baggies need a prolific goalscorer to take them out of the 16th place they find themselves in at the moment. A move for Teodorczyk thus looks to be very logical.
With his current form in the Jupiler League and performances in the Europa League, there are bound to be other European clubs who will be wanting to add the striker to their ranks, which will make things a lot tougher for West Brom.
Only time will tell where the 25-year old would be in the future but his present displays will definitely see him donning the kit of a reputed European club in the near future for sure.
