Bournemouth’s link up play
If the rumors are to be believed that Eddie Howe is highly considered to be Arsene Wenger’s replacement, then he is just the perfect candidate to do so. His playing tactics are considered to be similar to Arsene Wenger and Bournemouth showed that today. Bournemouth’s link up has the shadow of how Arsenal plays and if not for the horrendous panicky finish, Bournemouth could have scored much more. The fact that Howe is able to do this with the available bunch of players leads to an enticing imagination of what he can do with the likes of Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez and Ramsey.
Wilshere’s poor display
Unlike most other seasons, Jack Wilshere is actually getting playtime this term and being one of the manager’s favorites. His performance sure featured witty tricks and turns and creating spaces for himself and the team, but he failed when it mattered the most.
It seems he has not improved from where he left at Arsenal. Of course, his position has changed with Howe deploying him more up front, but he is still messing it up in the final touch. If this is supposed to be his big season, he has to do much more than that.
