An experienced Premier League campaigner and a player who has plenty of international experience in his locker, Larsson is struggling for playing time at Sunderland in recent years.
The Swede has also struggled with injuries this season and is yet to play for the Black Cats this term under new manager David Moyes.
Leeds could sign the 31-year-old in January to add vital experience and top-level quality to their squad to strengthen their promotion bid.
