VIRGIL VAN DIJK (SOUTHAMPTON)
The Southampton centre-back is going from strength to strength and it is no surprise that he is on the radar of almost all the top clubs in the Premier League.
The Dutch footballer has been immense so far this season and his consistency is something which is craved by the likes of City and United who are struggling in that department.
He was once again a solid presence and alongside Fonte marshalled the Everton attack into impotency. He made 5 interceptions and also cleared the ball from danger 3 times.
Along with his defensive contributions, the player also provided 2 key passes for his teammates, which is something which is becoming key in his overall play.
GARETH MCAULEY (WEST BROMWICH ALBION)
West Bromwich Albion would have been quietly confident as they made their way to the KCOM Stadium as the struggling Tigers looked bereft of quality and the finesse to pull off a win. But the Baggies made hard work of it and Hull, despite the absence of a host of their strikers, managed to draw the match 1-1.
The same might be said of West Brom as, without the solitary goal from their attack-minded centre-back, things would have been messy. McAuley put in an impressive shift in defence and also got the goal. He made 6 interceptions, blocked a goal bound shot and also made 7 clearances.
