Arsenal will host Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth at the Emirates on Sunday on matchday 13 in the Premier League. Two attacking minded sides playing a similar brand of football taking on each other- this could be one hell of a game. Eddie Howe is slowly making a name for himself in English football and he easily is one of the most promising young managers in the world right now.
Bournemouth are placed tenth in the table right now after 12 games with 15 points to their name and have played some excellent attacking football. The Cherries are on the back of an impressive 1-0 win against Stoke City and have what it takes to cause an upset against Arsenal on Sunday. The Gunners have drawn their last three games in all competitions and are three points off the top now. There are yet to win in the league in November, which has something to do with their November hoodoo.
The two sides met each other twice last season and Arsenal won both games by 2-0 margins. However, the South Coast side have come a long way since then and could create problems for the North London giants. Here is the predicted Bournemouth lineup against Arsenal.
Defence
The first-choice keeper Artur Boruc is likely to miss with a minor injury. So, Adam Federici is likely to keep his place between the sticks. Adam Smith was unavailable for the last game with a yellow card suspension and will make his way back to the starting XI against Arsenal.
Charlie Daniels is likely to keep his place at left-back. Nathan Ake played centre-back against Stoke City and scored the all-important winner. However, the Chelsea loanee is expected to miss out against Arsenal with skipper Simon Francis returning to the centre back role after playing right-back last week. Steve Cook is likely to partner Francis at the heart of the defence.
Midfield
Harry Arter and Dan Gosling are likely to continue in the middle of the park. Andrew Surman is a major doubt for the game but if he manages to come back in time, Howe might throw him to the starting XI due to his defensive discipline which will be needed against Arsenal. Jack Wilshere is unavailable for the game against his parent club and we expect Andy King to take his place in the number ten role.
Attack
Callum Wilson has been far from impressive this season but remains the first-choice striker under Howe. The Englishman will be keen to prove his worth in the big game. Marc Pugh and Junior Stanislas are likely to start on the flanks for the Cherries.
