AC Milan are planning a swoop for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge. Milan have rejuvenated themselves under new boss Vincenzo Montella after a string of spirited performances and right now they are in the third position in Serie A, five points adrift from toppers Juventus.
Sturridge is no longer the first choice for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp has been playing with 4-3-3 with Roberto Firmino deployed as the front man. The 27-year-old England international has appeared in 10 matches this season and has found the net four times but all of his goals have come in the EFL Cup.
Carlos Bacca has been linked with a move away from the Rossoneri’s and Sturridge could fill his void. Milan have been acquired by a Chinese consortium and after a very good start to this season they are ready to splash the cash. Danny Ings has been sidelined for the whole season and Klopp recently made it clear that Sturridge is very happy at Liverpool and won’t leave the club, however.
