Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been included in Manchester United’s 21-man squad that will face Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday.
Mkhitaryan, a £26m summer signing from Borussia Dortmund hasn’t featured in any game since the 2-1 defeat against Manchester City. He has been training very hard for the last couple of days and it seems his hard work has finally paid off.
Phil Jones who has just returned from injury and Wayne Rooney who didn’t play in the last two matches are also included in the squad alongside Anthony Martial and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Bastian Schweinsteiger will be unavailable as he is ineligible to play in the Europa League.
The Red Devils are second in the group with six points and a win will boost their chances to make it to the round of 16. They defeated Fenerbahce 4-1 in the reverse fixture with Paul Pogba putting in a sublime performance. Mourinho has to rely a lot on the Frenchman who has been not so impressive since his much-hyped arrival from Juventus.
