MARKO ARNAUTOVIC (STOKE CITY)
The Austrian shoulders most of the attacking responsibility on his broad shoulders and the team is set up so as to take advantage of his creative influence along with Shaqiri’s.
But one of the reasons for Stoke’s malaise has been the relative impotency of Arnautovic in the attacking areas.
He has 1 goal and 1 assist in 10 appearances which is way below the mark but what has been even more worrying is his overall play. His passing has been off the mark with a success rate of 78% which is poor.
He needs to step up big time if Stoke are to continue their recent ascent.
HENRIKH MKHITARYAN (MANCHESTER UNITED)
The former Borussia Dortmund man was expected to be a pivotal factor in this new Manchester United team. After a path-breaking season, along with the likes of Pogba, Rooney and Ibrahimovic, it was assumed they would be forming the deadliest attacking line-up in the League. But it has been a nightmare for this Armenian international.
He started in United’s most embarrassing first half against City and has gone out of favour since. Chances have been few and far between and Mourinho has gone out of his way to being critical of the player.
It remains to be seen if he can turn things around before the end of the season.
